((Though I use 'he' Apos is actually a hermaphrodite. But since he seems to identify and dress like a male, I've decided to use it in narration. His voice, similarly, sounds male.))
A blond haired young man wearing black wandered in through the door of the sorting room, carrying a wicker basket of blue orbs in one hand, and a broad sword in the

He focused his own energy from examining to reiki and stopped the rest of the internal bleeding. There was only so much the human body would accept, though, and that was too close to Kaga's limit. He focused on Kuronue again. "This," he said, indicating the external wound, "will need other treatment." He continued to clean it, changing the rag as needed.
He rested a hand on Kaga's forehead. "Why is it you attract such, my friend?" he asked softly of the unconscious

His hands were still stained with blood, but he couldn't bring himself to clean them, or go and get Kaga some new clothes at least, when the idea popped into his head.
"He managed to burn whoever it was to a crisp, but I doubt that'll last long. He wouldn't even let himself scream until I'd gotten him out of there," he said quickly, trying to calm himself. Distractedly he tried to inform Yukimura of the development, but could only manage a scramble of a few words and a general impression.

He mixed a bowl of water with some herbs to encourage healing, heating it and letting it cool to the proper temperature. Boukensha started to reach out, nose first, to sniff the contents, retreating when Kusuriyuri clicked his tongue at him. He looked at the door. "Yukimura comes," he said, glancing at Kuronue.

He was watching the cat when Kusuriyuri announced his lover's presence, and he looked at Kusuriyuri, then the door, and back to Kaga again. He stood hastily and went to the door, didn't quite seem to care if he got blood on the door handle as he opened it before there was a knock.

"What is it?" Yukimura asked as he approached the door, anger and concern in his eyes. "Kaga," he said, going white to the lip, anger burning in his eyes.
"He is out of danger, physically," Kusuriyuri said, dipping a cloth in the mixture and dabbing it along the wound. "Kuronue brought him here, having stopped most of the bleeding."

"He will recover," Kusuriyuri said. "It may take time physically, though this one is not sure how long it will take for his mind to recover," he said softly.
Yukimura reached for Kuronue's hand, holding it tightly. "He was just recovering so well," he said, his voice tense.

He turned his eyes on Kaga, looking at him sadly, all of his anger draining away. He toes Boukensha away again.

"This one can only do so much for his mind, but that which can be done will be," Kusuriyuri said. "It will depend on how much he will accept." And what else might be involved, he didn't add aloud. He would keep a close watch on Kaga, as close as he was able to.
Yukimura looked at the cat again and reached down for him. Boukensha squirmed up to his shoulder, purring to comfort himself. "What is it that concerns you so much, Peddler?" he asked.
Kusuriyuri looked at Kaga then at Kuronue and Yukimura. "This one is not sure yet. He will watch."

Well, Kaga was only human, and he had been put through a lot of shit. Kuronue wilted. He didn't want him to go through that.
He rested his cheek on Yukimura's shoulder and glared at the cat. It was invading his space. He barely kept from hissing at it.
"Kurama will not be happy," he said, as the thought occurred to him. He stroked Yukimura's hand with his thumb, trying to give his lover some form of comfort, knowing how vicious he could get.

"One of those?" Yukimura asked, wrapping an arm around Kuronue. It is only until he can be returned to the one he truly wants. He is frightened, he said to Kuronue about the cat.
Kusuriyuri bandaged the wound after applying a paste of antiseptic and healing herbs. "This one will watch," he repeated. He rose, going to the sink in the kitchen to wash his hands. Once his hands were clean, he walked over to Yukimura and held his hands out for Boukensha. "Thank you for comforting him," he said as the kitten-sized cat crawled over to him and into his collar.

"Thank you," he said, to Kusuriyuri, because it needed to be said. "For caring for Kaga," he added.

"Thank you," Yukimura replied. "And, you will keep us informed if it is the other?" he pressed.
"This one hopes it is not, but he will not allow that to blind him. He will keep you informed." Kusuriyuri returned to Kaga's side. "You may stay or go as you see fit," he offered. "This one will prepare tea if you chose to remain. Kurama will return soon."
