Now that he had returned Hogwarts, Garak figured the best way to get acquainted with the students was to reopen his cover, er.. business. It didn’t have the wealth of fabrics and supplies as his store back on Deep Space Nine, but he was never one to complain. As a former member of the Obsidian Order, Garak was resourceful enough to make do with ( Read more... )

Tailoring? Oh, you have found a loyal customer indeed.

Kaga poked his head around, trying to find the right place.

First customer, excellent!

Garak popped from behind a sewing form, his broad shoulders draped with at least half a dozen swaths of cloth in brilliant colors. "Fortune has inedeed smiled on me to have my first customer be one of already impeccable taste! Please come in."

He pulled the cloth off and tossed it across the dummy. "How can I be of service?"

Kaga smiled, he liked this man already. "Well, something simple for now. I've acquired some pants that need hemming." He looked around with barely concealed glee. "Though if I'm perfectly honest I wished to see what fabrics you had, as I am a bit of a man of fine tastes."

He smiled at Garak. "I am not disappointed."

Returning the smile, Garak ushered Kaga further in. "A quick and simple task to get those pants taken care of for you, friend. Please, feel free to examine the few wares I have available.

"The samples I have here are only a paltry reflection of what I had in my shop back on the station, but I hope to have a more extensive selection available quite soon."

Kameo was still freaking out about her fortune, mostly because it implied she should be an exotic dancer. And she didn't have an outfit for that. Well, yeah, she ran around in a miniskirt and tank top anyway, but she didn't think of that. The princess is not smart. As such, the elf would go to this tailor shop to get a proper dancing uniform.

The princess stood outside of Slytherin house, knocking on the door. She didn't know the house password, unfortunately.

Fortunately for the princess, Garak was escorting another customer to the door.

"..yes of course. I will have it ready by the end of the week. If you can arrange for more bolts of the crimson to be sent, I can get it done even sooner."

He turned and smiled to her, "Ah, hello my dear. Are you looking for something a little warmer for these cold days?"

((Sorry--I was busy this week!))

Kameo shook her head, then rested one hand against the doorframe. "I'm actually looking for a kind of...costume." She scratched her head, wondering how to word this. "You look different. What do your people dress in to dance?" Perhaps insensitive, but the elf was coming down from a panic anyway.

Garak gave a friendly smile. "Yes, I have come to understand that there are no other Cardassians here on Earth. I'm afraid we're not much for dancing.. we're not built for elegant movement like that," he gestured at his broad shoulders and thick arms.

"As for a costume, I am sure we can find something suitable. Please," he held the door open for her. "What is it you had in mind?"
