Kaga poked his head around, trying to find the right place.

First customer, excellent!

Garak popped from behind a sewing form, his broad shoulders draped with at least half a dozen swaths of cloth in brilliant colors. "Fortune has inedeed smiled on me to have my first customer be one of already impeccable taste! Please come in."

He pulled the cloth off and tossed it across the dummy. "How can I be of service?"

Kaga smiled, he liked this man already. "Well, something simple for now. I've acquired some pants that need hemming." He looked around with barely concealed glee. "Though if I'm perfectly honest I wished to see what fabrics you had, as I am a bit of a man of fine tastes."

He smiled at Garak. "I am not disappointed."

Returning the smile, Garak ushered Kaga further in. "A quick and simple task to get those pants taken care of for you, friend. Please, feel free to examine the few wares I have available.

"The samples I have here are only a paltry reflection of what I had in my shop back on the station, but I hope to have a more extensive selection available quite soon."

"I would be pleased to suggest a few places, and act as a middleman between you and the...er, muggle world. I'm afraid most humans are unaware of alien lifeforms." Kaga shook his head. "If you'll forgive my presumption."

"I would welcome any assistance to make sure I have adequate supplies for my customers. But I must ask, what is a muggle? Is that the local alien supplier? Or some business organization similar to the Ferengi?"

[gourmetchairman]

"Non-magical humans. Which is the bulk of Earth's population. The wizarding world is but a hidden world on Earth."

"Ah, I see. Well if the local humans are not used to dealing with aliens, your assistance will be greatly appreciated. I'm sure we can come to some sort of arrangement in return for your services. Perhaps a discount and first choice of any new designs?"

[gourmetchairman]

Kaga grinned. "That is quite generous of you. I would've been pleased with just the first choice of designs. Good quality workmanship is worth paying for."

"Then I see we are going to have a long and quite fruitful business relationship." He extended his hand in the fashion humans did, "Elam Garak."

[gourmetchairman]

Kaga shook his hand. "Chairman Takeshi Kaga. Quite a pleasure."

"A Chairman? May I ask what it is you are the Chairman of?"

Cardassians do love titles after all.

"The Gourmet Academy, though nowadays I've passed most of the responsibility to my nephew. It's an academy dedicated to promoting cuisine from around the world."

If it was possible, Garak's smile broadened, "Then I am indeed in good company. While cooking is not one of my specialities, a well-prepared meal is something I always appreciate."

[gourmetchairman]

"Indeed," Kaga smiled. "Perhaps sometime we could have a meal together. The only thing better than good food is good company."

"That sounds like a wonderful idea. Perhaps over dinner we can discuss what new designs you might want to see in my shop."
