Everyone thinks they are a fucking prodigy, and everyone should fucking BOW DOWN to them!!! Every new applicant in here tries to astonish everyone with how awesome they supposedly are and it makes me sick. They should change the damned application to ask people what their weaknesses are, only they'd find a way to turn that into bragging too."

Kurama hadn't smelled a nightmare - a real nightmare, not those flawed little fear demons that skittered around the edges of human society, eating minor terrors, causing little bits of chaos. No, this was a high-class nightmare, a respectable demon. Probably a threat, almost certainly dangerous, but intriguing.

"Harder to hurt now that you're here," he said casually from the doorway. "No one dies in these parts. Not for lack of trying, mind."
