"This young man I met. A bit young to be a detective, really, but he was a prodigy, apparently. Bit of a bad temper."

"If you think you can approach him on the subject, you should. Unless chess is enough to fill your days."

"Mmph." Caron found that unlikely. "If I find him again. I probably will, I believe he's in my house."

"Which house would that be?"

"Ravenclaw. From what I've found, a lot of detectives are there."

Odd. None of them interested in continuing their work? "What do they do to occupy themselves?"

"Not sure, only met the one. I think I met another with...purple hair? He was fiddling with something."

That was Matt, it was red hair, and he was fiddling with Rock Band.

"I just know he asked to trade cigarettes, and I did."

Purple hair was not that unusual. Lenneth's was a nice blue-ish color. Cigarettes, now that was a curiosity.

"I may have to visit Ravenclaw for myself. That is the house with the tavern, correct?"

"I found I have not a taste for beer, though I know many other gods and einherjar enjoy it."

"Some people like it. I didn't really bother. Maybe a wine after supper, but it's only on special occasions."

Wine, a more specifically human drink than beer. Silmeria had less opportunities for that than she had with the alternative form of alcohol.

"What kind of wine?"

Caron shrugged. "Honestly I don't know. Red, that's all I know."

Silmeria nodded and took his bishop.

"I may have to ask for it. Perhaps after winning my first game of chess against an opponent. That would qualify as an occasion, would it not?"

Not winning this game, specifically, but whenever that first game should happen to be won.

Caron shrugged. "I suppose that works. Perhaps you'll have the wine with me, then." He frowned at the board. He was running out of options.
