Brienne did not understand technology. Mostly, in fact, it rather baffled her. But she had participated on a thread on the Hogwartsnet, and, the weather being more or less not amenable to doing any kind of physical workout outside, she was in the compy lab, frowning intently at the screen, trying to play Duck Guardian. Homestar was there for no discernible reason. He was, in fact, standing over her shoulder. How long had he been there? Could have been a second or several minutes; he probably didn't even know. "Ooh, what are you playing?"

Brienne jumped, causing one of her ducks to be crushed by a falling robot head. She really hadn't heard him approach. Which she was going to beat herself up over later, because Homestar could have been someone dangerous.

"It's called Duck Guardian," she said, attempting to herd her one last surviving duck toward the spaceship. "I'm not good at it yet." She was still on level 1.

Homestar had a knack for being places totally at random; to Brienne's credit, it was entirely possible he had just materialized there. He was the Apparitions professor, after all. Even if he did think it was a kind of ghost.

After watching her efforts for a moment or two, he asked, "Have you played Thy Dungeonman? I couldn't beat it. There were too many words, and the stupid flask kept killing me."

Brienne shook her head. "No. They don't have these... box things... back where I come from, so I thought I would start with something easy. This seemed simple enough." She sighed as her final duck met its tragic demise.
