The Chairman has been described once as 'one Persian cat short of being a James Bond villain'.And give the mun five minutes, and she'll pull the article that does so.
The point is, the Chairman was heading back to Gryffindor when he came across Bond.
"No, sorry," he called out to her. He couldn't tell from this distance if those were actual wings, or another costume. James walked in her direction. It would be rude to shout out a conversation. "Name's Bond," he told her when he was withing speaking difference.
Those were actual wings. It was bizarre, but to focus on them would be a distraction. He took in the feathery forms quickly, then tuned them out to focus on her face. It wasn't bad, either.
"Ah. The resemblance isn't as remarkable up close." Like this man, her friend back home had seen better days; but Polar Boy still retained some of his unshakable optimism in even the worst of crises. She sighed. "Yes, they're real. Dawnstar. Are you new here too?"
"I wasn't going to suggest otherwise," Bond said with a slight smile. "Pleased to meet you, Dawnstar. And you certainly are remarkable up close." He was looking into her eyes, not at her wings. His smile widened slightly, and he slowly let his eyes drift from her to look down the hallway she'd come from. "I'm afraid I just got here. I hardly know where 'here' is."

"Hello," he said back. The Chairman's outfit really was something different. "Nice cape."
