Owl to Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward
((OOC: Meeting after the Owl forward-dated to just after John's encounter with his son in Transfiguration class))
In the past several days, John had settled into his room at Gryffindor, more or less, unpacking the few belongings he'd brought with him on his trip (which he had never completed..) and figuring out the locations of the bathroom, the kitchen, etc. He'd also discovered, after some inquiry, how to contact people: messenger owls.
He shook his head in amused disbelief as he attached the following note to one of the owlery owls' legs:
Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward,
I've been sorted into Gryffindor after all, so I'm sure we'll be seeing much more of each other. I haven't seen you about in the past few days however, so I thought I'd send you one of these owl notes. Pretty weird idea, huh? Using owls. Well, you mentioned earlier the possibility of letting me try out that car of yours sometime, and I was wondering if you'd mind me taking up on that offer. So whenever you have time, I'd be delighted to get together again. Perhaps you could show me around this place a bit, too.
