"Now, I understand the flying projectiles and the netting. But was the mucus bomb really necessary?"
Steph was sure the green stuff on her shoulder (hey, it had been a close call!) was actually some complex chemical doo-hicky, but it looked like mucus. "If this stains, you owe me a new outfit."
"Yes." And that would be all, usually, but she'd done unusually well. He offers her a hankerchief -- er, bat-hankerchief? -- pulled out of a pocket on his belt.
"You didn't attack it," he notes. "The idea was to see if you attack anything that moves." He doesn't normally explain himself, but she's owed a little something after that.
