Owls galore!

((Backdated to a couple days before Christmas. None of the confections sent are enchanted in any way. IC, May can't specify this since she doesn't know the dangers of cookies at Hogwarts.))

Having found her House, found the Owlry and actually managed to get a response from one friend from home - although it took a few owls to convince Normie that ( Read more... )

May,

The cookies were wonderful. Thank you so much. I'm sorry it took so long to get back to you, and I hope you like the gift. Also, you might want to eat the food right away as I don't know how long it'll keep, and I'd also like to know if I got the recipe right.

The owl is carrying a Weasley sweater and scarf, and also a covered dish containing nachos that it's clear Molly made herself.

May,

Thank you for the knife. I love it, and I know it'll come in useful.

We don't have this holiday where I'm from, but I've been reading about it lately. I wasn't sure what would be an appropriate gift, but someone I met sugested chocolate, so here you are.

The raven is carrying a box of Honeyduke's chocolates.

May-

The journal is absolutely delightful, and I thank you for it. I hope you enjoy your gift- there are charms on it to fit, but if there are any problems pray do not hesitate to write.

Yours,
Elizabeth Bennet

P.S. Please do call me Lizzy.

The owl is carrying a Regency dress, very neatly wrapped in brown paper.

Dear Miss Parker,

No need to apologize for going with the classics, my dear. One can seldom go too far wrong with sugar and caffeine. Thank you very much!

I'm afraid I haven't been shopping in the last few days, so my return gift isn't quite as grand, but I hope it'll be useful. I've been working on this sketch plan of the castle ever since I arrived in the summer, and it's very much a work in progress - especially as things in this place sometimes seem to move - but it seems a good gift for a new arrival.

Merry Christmas,
Ian Malcolm
