Waking up as man was a situation Sarah had some experience with. That didn't mean it was any easier, as waking up in a body clothed only in boxers in a room that wasn't hers was still enough to make her panic, but at least she was aware this was something more than a simple genderswitch. A look in the mirror confirmed she was indeed in another body

You and everyone else. Perry and House have switched - which is just buckets of fun, let me tell you - Harry Dresden and Murphy, Thomas (don't know if you met him, nice bloke, vampire) has apparently switched... I'm still me, though, so thank Merlin for small favours.
DO NOT TRY AND REVERSE THIS. There is no magic that would do this, at least none that I know of, and Merlin knows what you'll do to yourself if you try. Just... Well, the whole world went mad overnight, perhaps it will right itself? Either way, it's dangerous to muck about with anything this powerful.
And his wand will be in his back pocket or some other such careless place, if Ian is anything like any of the other blokes I've known.

P.S. So...what's it like having a penis that's not yours?

Oh God, there's more people? Okay, that this is somewhat of an epidemic in a way sort of freaks me out. I'm glad you're still you but do you think maybe this has anything to do with everyone you named being first-time students and not like you or Sirius or other people who were here at Hogwarts or lived in the magical world before ( ... )

I'm working on trying to figure out what's going on. I've run across even more people switched, which lends itself to the thinking this is some sort of widespread spell rather than a direct attack on any one person or group. Also, it seems to be completely random - who switches with who and so on. After all, Perry and I were sleeping next to each other. If it was localized, I would have been affected as well. Also, the switched parties retain all memories and motivations of themselves and are simply put into a new body. This is...well, to be honest, love, I've never heard of something like this. Which is actually a good thing - perhaps it was just a side affect or backfiring of something else. And, in that case, perhaps everything will just go back to normal. Merlin, I hope so. I miss my boyfriend.I...I actually haven't seen Sirius. So I don't know if he's been switched. However, I am currently carrying around in my bag a Wizard who has been at Hogwarts since he was eleven switched with a Mac Nac Feegle. Good ( ... )

He sat up and reached a (slim, soft, old bite mark) hand to push his (long, straight) hair out of his face, and held his eyes closed a long moment. Then he took a deep breath, opened them and looked down at himself.
"Oh, shit."
He shooed the kittens aside and got up to find a mirror. Medium height, green eyes, long black hair...He remembered meeting this girl at his sorting. Sarah. He had told her about his own Sarah, in Africa.
The kittens were tugging at his pajama cuffs (Scooby-Doo pajama pants? Really now) so he let them lead him to a cabinet where he found kibble. Once the kittens were fed, he opened the closet door - then closed it again against the dazzle of a rainbow of color. Oh joy.Ian kept the black pajama tank top in lieu of sorting through ( ... )

Leather jacket? Duh. Feeling mildly stupid for being frazzled enough to miss checking the jacket, Sarah made a detour back to Ian's room for his wand, messaging back both Lily and Ryuuji and then encountering Ellie before finally reached Gryffindor. Leaving the portrait propped open with a polite explanation of what was going ion, she ducked into the portrait hole and immediately began searching for herself.
'God, this is weird.' Not that having had to listen to herself talk in another's voice and write in another's hand had not been weird, but looking for your own body definitely ranked at the top of weirdest things ever. Finally catching sight of herself - again, too weird! - what she saw actually drew a smile of sorts from her ( ... )

"Hello, Miss Williams. Yes, black is my thing. I'll bet you spent less time choosing what to wear today than you have in your entire life." He smiled. "I know Lily, and what she hasn't heard of where magic's concerned isn't likely to be something you run across every day."
He grinned as she - he - sank into the armchair. "I must say you're adjusting physically better than I. How on earth do you manage to reach things on high shelves in this body?"

Sarah stopped when she realized she was being spoken to and blinked at the unfamiliar woman. She hesitated, unsure whether to fess up to the mix up or not, but as others were switched according to Lily, she decided that honesty would still be far preferable.
"No, actually," she said and then titled her head at the woman, "see, I'm pretty sure you think I'm Ian, right? I'm not though, seems there is something or someone going around and switching people with other bodies. I know this likely sounds so weird, but this is only Ian's body. My name is actually Sarah Williams."

"Hi," she said. "I'm Ellie, one of Ian's friends. I thought I had gotten an owl from him earlier, but I'm guessing that it wasn't you who sent it." She paused for a second. "I'm a bit new here. This sort of thing doesn't happen often, does it?"

Sarah,
Ian? Like, the Ravenclaw doctor dude?
He nearly scratched that out, remembering who the other possible Ravenclaw doctor-dude was, then remembered that he had promised to talk to Ian at some point. And had never done so. Damn. Quickly, he continued,
Okay. What exactly happened? The more details, the more we'll know about how to undo it. Do you want to come to my room and talk to me, or look for your original body? Hopefully, it'll be someone non-malicious possessing it.
Stay calm. We'll fix this.

Yes, the doctor in Ravenclaw. And I have no IDEA what happened, all I know is I went to bed in my OWN room in my OWN body and woke up in HIS room in Ravenclaw in HIS body. I'm not sure what this is, but Muninn may have recognized me in some way because he let me give him letters, so I'm not even sure how much of me is in his body.
I do want to come and talk to you, but I'm going to the Gryffindor commonroom right now, Ian returned my note and fortunately has my body, so it was a direct switch. Could you come to Gryffindor, please? I'll leave the portrait propped open.
Also, trying calm, not exactly succeeding all that well at the moment because people are not supposed to EVER switch into another's body! I'm pretty sure of it, even in the magical world. But I don't want to ruin Ian's reputation by crying if he's a masculine guy.
Love,
Sarah
