Well, I got a very interesting scene with Severus and Minerva written tonight, one in which I get to do a little more with the Charity Burbage backstory-- a significant flashback to Snape cleaning out her office and having Minerva burst in on him and figure out that things are not as they appear. Hmmm-- reconciliation. That word strikes me just now as what this story could be about. Minerva and Severus, Petunia and Severus, Severus and whatever enemy I dream up to be after him. And reconciliation with the dead/ the fact that the past cannot be changed, no matter how one might wish to. And Severus with Albus, if he can bring himself to do it. I'm not there yet, but maybe....

Of course I would! Reconciliation is definitely what Severus was denied in DH and I think that bothered fans even more than his death. We expected the death (though as I've said before--no body, no burial, no ghost, no portrait--no death!), but didn't expect there to be no real resolution between him and Harry ... and Lily and Dumbledore and the students and Hogwarts, etc. ;-)
