I read and re-read the first Sookie book; will probably be picking up the next one in the series. Haven't seen the TV show, although there were some cosplayers at Dragoncon dressed up as characters from the books/True Blood. I will tell you that the average Southern woman doesn't dress or act like Sookie, though, those clothes she wears, well, not even a teen would wear them. LOL! Sookie and her family may have some money, but they are what I would call country folk. Southerners who live in big cities are more like big city people anywhere else in the US or the world. :) I did try to get into the panel at Dragoncon with C. Harris, but it was in a small room, and at least three times as many folks were lined up to try and get in. They should have put her in a ballroom!
