Kili and his elf-friend(s)

For some reason, the company has to say longer in Rivendell than they do in the book/movie, and despite his uncle's dire warnings and misgivings about elves, Kili finds he quite likes it there. And he also likes the company of the elves- he can discuss archery with them and they are impressed by his skills, they don't tease him for being too pretty/too tall/not having enough beard, and some of them are even as playful and fond of pranks as he is (Elladan and Elrohir maybe? They definitely need some love).
Kili is especially taken with an another young elfen archer named Legolas (what's Legolas doing in Rivendell? Yeah, I don't know, make it work somehow! Maybe visting with the Twins or something...). Up to the author if this develops into something more or not.
Basically, I want Kili bonding and cavorting with elves (gen or shippy), and Thorin being not amused.
Forgot to add: I'd prefer if the whole thing was more light-hearted (focusing on the mischief Kili gets up to with his elf buddies and how he spends time with them), rather than something darker (e.g. Thorin being really disappointed in his nephew and forbidding him to hang out with them etc.), but wherever it goes is fine. As long as there is at least some fluffy happiness and mischief going on, I'm down with the dramaz as well!

Thought I'd let you know that I have written a fill for this, though there may be a bit more plot in the shenanigans than you were hoping for. But no angst.
Unfortunately I'm traveling out of the country without my computer at the moment (yes I check the meme while traveling, don't judge me) so it may be awhile before I can actually post it. Currently the fill exists only as far too many pages of unedited handwritten scrawl in a little notebook that I wrote mostly on my flight. So yeah.
But I promise you'll get it eventually, and maybe in the editing process I can get it a little closer to want you wanted.
Quick question since I usually like to do my research but that's not really possible at the moment. Are Elladan and Elrohir actually how you spell their names? And they are Elrond's twins right?

Awesome thank you. I'll get started on typing it up then. And hopefully it'll actually be decent since I was rather sleep-deprived when I wrote it, though I promise to edit a bit.
Once I get home and have my computer again I'll probably post up a unified version to my journal too, but that won't be til March so I'm trying not to leave you all hanging until then.
Axes and Arrows, Part 1/?rata_toskrJanuary 18 2013, 08:59:15 UTC
Here's part 1, I'll get the rest up as I get them typed. I ignored large chunks of the timeline to make your prompt fit and sorry for any out of character bits. The only thing I know about Elrond's twins is literally their names and hair color so I'm pretty much making it up as I go along.

Kili is bored. Mind-numbingly, beard-scratchingly bored. This is of course why he's sneaking out of the dwarves' Rivendell camp, tip-toeing carefully over Bifur's snoring form. As he reaches the edge of the courtyard, Kili looks back cautiously, checking that the remainder of the company is still asleep. He nods to himself, thankful that Gandalf had convinced Thorin not to set a watch, for now he can be sure that his departure is undetected. Time to explore, he thinks gleefully, then slips into the shadowed halls of Rivendell

Well you don't have to camp too long because the next part's up, and I think there's only about 3 more. It's a lot of pages in my little notebook but my notebook isn't very big.
Axes and Arrows, Part 2a/?rata_toskrJanuary 19 2013, 06:46:00 UTC
This was faster than I thought so here's the first bit of the next part. I hope you like your elves ridiculous.

Inside the clearing are three elves, as ageless as all their people but Kili judges them youths by their manner and dress. For two of them, dark-haired and nearly identical, lay sprawled carelessly on the ground, chatting easily and holding flasks in their hands. The third, as fair as his fellows are dark, stands unsteadily before them with his clothes rumpled and hair in disarray. Three more flasks lay empty at his feet and he sways unsteadily as he carries on in elvish, waving his arms with every other word. Though Kili cannot understand him, he recognizes the tone and the body language for Fili too is an opinionated drunk. Maybe it's a blond thing? he wonders and the similarity makes him laugh

From then on the conversation flows easily as they trade stories and flasks back and forth. Kili finds his head reeling after only the third sip so he sticks mostly to talking, regaling the others with stories of his home. He has just finished the long and rambling tale of how he and Fili accidentally dyed Thorin's beard a brilliant blue, when Legolas finally stirs from his stupor
