So sweet :). I thought that was something you had made but maybe it is a stock image after all.
Enjoy watching those games, Jen!
~*~*~*~ Happy Easter to those who celebrate it and a lovely regular weekend to those who don't. ~*~*~*~
Over here, Good Friday is holiday for most people. Therefore I got to meet two of my friends over lunch today since they didn't have to go to work. I'm sure that seeing friends is not this big a deal for some of you but my friends are quite busy with their work and children so it's hard to find time that fits everyone.
Spring and winter are alternating days, but slowly spring is winning. I haven't let go of my warm coat yet, though.
Edited to list some tv shows that I've been watching lately
( ... )
Love Call the Midwife--have watched everything that's currently on Netflix. Started Victoria, but haven't quite got past the 4th of 5th episode. I love history, but there have just been other things I've been watching. I'll get back to it at some point, I'm sure. I need to catch up on When Calls the Heart. The last season is finally up on Netflix here. I don't know anything about Medici...
I've been watching: Quantico, Madam Secretary, and Grey's Anatomy and HOCKEY :0)
That's lovely that you got to meet up with your friends! :) It really can be tricky to coordinate everyone, the more time goes on. One of my friends from high school whom I see maybe twice a year managed it last weekend-- she got four of us together to go to our high school's summer musical. One of the girls who went is one of my closest friends, so we see each other once or twice a month, but I hadn't see the other two in ages. We also aren't the type who visit our old schools, so it was funny when some of our teachers from twenty years ago walked by and about fell over to see all four of us in one row. XD
I've heard excellent things about Call the Midwife and Victoria, but I haven't seen either yet. If you had to pick one, which would you recommend more?
I think rochvelleth tweaked the comm setting when we had the celebration week last year. Firstly, that the posts are open to public and secondly, that people could comment anonymously if they didn't have LJ journals anymore.
Aww, that's so sweet that the boys still want to do the egg hunt!! :) This is the first holiday where both kids know the Easter bunny is me, lol, but they're still going to be spoiled. ;) Enjoy your holiday!!
Yeah... how did the cake turn out? Teddy has gotten on a baking kick. If it worked, maybe we could try it sometime. It sounds fascinating.
We're into the third season of The Great British Baking Show on Netflix. Every time we bake something, I make him write a review of our bake in the style of Paul and Mary (for a language arts assignment). Some of them are really funny.
I'm just sending a quick reply to say that I am really bothered by the new LJ ToCs to the extent of possibly deleting my journal. I've accepted them for now so that I can back everything up over on Dreamwidth, and then I guess I'll make a decision. Anyway, it would be good to find RH people over on DW so I'll look you up when I'm operational over there :) (I suspect we already friended each other ages ago when I first set up my DW account, but I'll check!)
Sorry to have missed Good Friday, especially since I've finally gotten to the point where I don't forget every week. I was in Hot Springs, Arkansas, with the in-laws. I'm lucky that I can still see hubby's side of the family even though we are separated. Not so lucky that we unwittingly planned our Easter vacation on the same weekend as the Arkansas Derby. The town was PACKED with horse racing fans. It swelled to three times the normal population which made everything a little crazy (actually, A LOT crazy considering that most tourists were racing fans who are a little off to begin with).
We stayed at the historic Arlington Hotel which Al Capone used to frequent. Went and did lots of touristy things - the crappy wax museum, miniature golf, tacky souvenir shopping. We had fun and no one got hurt. Including hubby. So, good weekend.
