They really are.

I could have watched whole episodes of them sitting in the bar talking.

This was fun. I love that Joe would want answers in lieu of currency. Your headcanon is interesting stuff! I loved this line: “Oooh, now that's a different question entirely. Do you want to know about me specifically or us in general?” So Methos! I could easily hear his voice in this. And, "Also, it kind of gave me a headache.” Ha. This feels really grounded and makes a lot of sense.

Thank you!

The show was so hand-wavy with so many parts of its own mythology that trying to reconcile it is...well, probably best not done, but I wanted to try anyway.

Glad to hear that the character voices came through, as that's the hardest part of any story, I think.

This is great! Joe gets to be devious for a change and corner Methos into answering questions. Oh, and I can't get over the pun! lol

Thank you for your help on the story!

I'm all for anyone being able to successfully out-maneuver Methos, as I suspect he is, too, since it's such a rare occurrence.

How sneaky of Joe! I like your head-canon, too.

Thank you :)

Sneaky!Joe is a favorite of mine, especially when he manages to out-maneuver Methos.

Many, many thanks! I do love Joe and Methos fencing, and love it when he sneaks one by the Cagey One. Joe can do cagey, too :) I also love the character voices, reflecting genuine friendship, natural defenses relaxed, but intact. I love the nuances of the small card game in the midst of the larger Game, which Joe could never win (but he can score tiny victories...by cheating.)

The setting is perfect as well, an island of relative peace and rare detente amidst the clash of storms outside.

Great story! Thank you so much! And may the rest of the holidays be fine and fair for you, and the New Year shiny and bright!

I agree that Joe can do cagey, too, and I always like to give him the opportunity to try. Methos needs a verbal fencing buddy, and Joe's always been good in that role.

Good to hear that you enjoyed the story! It's always fun to put these two in a room together and see what happens.

Happy New Year to you, at well!
