That was great. So Methos - so Joe. Good questions; I'm still contemplating Methos' answers, as I'm sure Joe is as well.

Glad to hear that my headcanon is worth consideration :)

I'm sure Joe will be thinking about the answers for a long time, as he tries to figure out if Methos upheld his end of the deal to be 'accurate.'

Doesn't Joe know that immortal range and sensing depends on plot ;-)

Always a joy to read Methos and Joe. I love Joe working on putting one over on Methos. And he did it this time!!

Ya know, I think Joe just might suspect that Immortal range and sensing is entirely plot dependent. It's the Immortals who don't know that and who, therefore, have their own reasoning for how things work.

I'm always about Joe getting one over on Methos, so it was a lot of fun to give him the chance to try.

This was great, and don't we all want to know the answers to these questions! I'm laughing at the watchers at the academy all sitting around trying to figure out quickenings. heh.

I think a short Watcher's Academy mini-series could have been a lot of fun, if for no other reason than to get a glimpse of these discussions. I'm certain that a great deal of wrong-yet-plausible information would be handed down with authority.

Thanks for the comment :)

I enjoyed reading "Ace in the Hole." Thank you for sharing it!

It's been a very long time, I think, since I've read an "argument" story -- advocating for and/or analyzing a contestable canon interpretation via fiction -- and this story makes me very nostalgic for those email-list days and that "we're all here together" approach! But of course this story's heart and best rationale is... cheating death. :-)

I'll admit that I was smiling quite a bit when you said this was the story that drew your attention. I'm delighted that you liked it and that your found my reasonings plausible. As I mentioned on my DW, argument style stories are ones I find very difficult to write, so it's always good to hear that they work for the reader.
