Loved the interaction between Methos and Joe, and especially Joe's slow recovery of his senses after being shot (and drugged). It felt very much like a missing scene from the show, one that I could easily see as having been filmed and then cut.

(Minor quibble - Alexa was dead by the time of the Tribunal events - we see her headstone three episodes before this, in "Through a Glass, Darkly". But it is only a minor quibble, because this story was fantastic.)

Oh, thank you for catching the continuity error with Alexa's death! This is what happens when you pop back into a fandom after, god, 6 years away? Con-crit is a pearl of great price.

I'm glad that Joe and Methos' interations felt authentic to you. Thank you for the comment!

We needed that scene - and it's perfect. Even after surgery and on drugs and in pain, Joe's up for questioning Methos. Joe is amazing!
