Perfect Joe and Methos interaction, and I totally love the thought of Joe having a bit of Darius's quickening. That would also help explain part of the glue in his relationship with Duncan.

And, of course, Methos would have that argument with Darius. Yes.

Loved it that Methos has thrown Ulysses across the room, twice.

*chuckles* Can't you picture Methos doing that? Thanks for the comment!

Oh, but this is perfect. Absolutely perfect, tone, inference, setting, character - such a deceptively simple piece of writing. So very, very well done.

Wonderful Joe & Methos! Love the hints about Darius' Quickening, and Alexa's generosity, and the fact that Methos can't stand Ulysses.

Wonderful title also. Brilliant. And yes, I know it is a quote from Akiba Ben Joseph because I googled it, but it was brilliant for you to think of it and use it.

I also loved "Joe was left to huddle under his blanket, prodding at his impossible memory of Darius like a loose tooth, and wonder." Now there is a simile worth its weight in truffles.

Oh dear god, the title gave me trouble. This had five different titles IN LATIN before I settled on this one. So I am especially pleased that it made enough of an impression for you to look it, and Rabbi Akiba Ben Jospeh, up.

It's ridiculously open-ended, but I think that works. Thank you!

Methos keeps having that argument, over and over, with different men that he admires. Thank you!
