This is my favorite line in your "Troll the Ancient." That resonated very strongly for Cierdwyn for me, a solid truth irreverently expressed. It beautifully reveals one of the relationships at the foundation of this construction.
I must admit, I'm afraid, that your use of Matthew McCormick and Cory Raines put my canon memory to much shame. I could only just barely remember them; in the end, I had to look up that they're both fifth-season natives. There are some fifth and sixth-season episodes that I've watched only three times in all these years, and apparently "Money No Object" and "Manhunt" are among them. Duly humbling. :-)

In fairness, I had to look them up to write the story. "Money No Object" is one of my least favorite episodes as I'm not a fan of farce and broad physical comedy, and I utterly failed to watch it all the way through despite my best efforts. "Manhunt" and "Take Back the Night" were better rewatches; and, as you know, Ceirdwyn is one of my favorite one-shot characters. The plus side of dealing with a lot of one-shot characters is that the canon review doesn't take much and there's plenty of room to fill in the gaps. The downside is the same. Fortunately, I enjoy the challenge, and the Highlander Wiki was a tremendous help.
Thanks, as always, for taking the time to feedback :)
