So. This is late. I had it done and written by Christmas Eve, but I didn't like the Willow/Xander scene. I rewrote that today at lunch and it's better now

Nope, I flew American. No lost luggage for me. Yay! I had a bit of a problem coming back home, but nothing major at all. Actually had a cool little instance wherein, when I got on the plane, some dude was sitting in my seat and just told me to go use his seat -- in first class.
Happy New Year to you, too.
I'm going to write my Batman/Buffy crossover before I start work on The Dreamless, but that one won't be all that long. Also, I'll probably work on The Dreamless at the same time, too, so when I'm ready to start posting it I can go pretty quickly. That's the plan, at least.

That is way cool.
Glad to hear about the Batman crossover - I forgot about that.
Thanks so much for all your help with the Willow/Xander scene. It really helped a lot; I can't tell you how much.
And thank you for the compliments! I definitely think the story got stronger as it went on -- I think the improvement in my writing and pacing is noticable. Hopefully, the next two stories will continue that trend.

Quite a sad ending. Two Slayers dead, another run off, three others planning to splinter off from the group, Robin/Faith ended, Xander gone, his personality changed into god-knows-what from the traumatic events. I'm not quite sure how I'd feel about it if I didn't know that there will be a new "Of Those Chosen" coming out eventually. And Willow's idea is sure to make the precedings very interesting. Bring on "The Dreamless"!

Yeah, this story is definitely the "decent downwards" for all the heroes. The next one deals with the changes and brings them back into the fight for the third story, which is the big fight that's coming.
I'm glad you've liked it. I've really appreciated the efforts you've made to comment even without a LiveJournal, I hope you know that.
My aim is to finish "Real Heroes Despise Clowns" -- the Buffy/Nightwing crossover -- by March, and pick up The Dreamless then.
A powerful ending to this story. Except, it's not an ending, thankfully. This really has the feel of the first part of a trilogy at least. I loved the concept, and the story, and I think your writing got better and better as it progressed. Your original characters were just as interesting to me as the canon ones, and your sense of who Faith and Xander are feels right and honest to me. Kudos for a great beginning to what I hope becomes an epic (or at least a trilogy!) Thanks for writing this. I can hardly wait for The Dreamless. Oh, and Happy New Year!
Thank you so much! I'm glad you've enjoyed it. It's been fun writing it. I'm really glad you enjoyed my OCs; I was worried that they would detract from the story some. Good to know that they didn't.
As much as I've said that I want to write the Batclan crossover, ideas for how to actually write The Dreamless keep popping into my head. I don't want to promise anything, but at this point I have no idea which I'll write on more.

I hope you enjoyed your trip. (I just hope you weren't flying US Air!)
Great chapter, but you've only whetted my appetite for The Dreamless - you better start writing that soon!
