Well, I thought this was going to take until at least tomorrow night -- but I got some serious good news tonight, and the good mood put me in the mood to write... Which, really, is interesting, as there is not a real wealth of good news that comes to light in this chapter. Oh, well. Such is life, no

I'm really glad you liked this chapter. And of course you know what happens next, the be-all end-all that the whole story has set up: Faith and Xander finally come face-to-face with Cole and Donner.
And, as Illyria would put it, "They all wish to do violence."

Nice banter from Giles.
Nice moment between Robin & Xander. Boy, is Nottigham going to be pissed when the truth comes out.
Liked the moment where Faith got the Scyhte and Willow's concern for her creations.

I haven't talked to him in a little while, but Finn Mac Cool is the one who pointed out to me that the Scythe had just disappeared in my story... so I had to get it out there somehow.

Just another trip through Faith's warped mind.

The action is great, the characterizations are spot on and everything is stressful and nervewracking in the very best of ways. As much as I love the big stuff, though, it's the little stuff that really endears this chapter (not to mention the whole freaking story) to me. Stuff like Giles's Monty Python reference and the way Katherine's letter effected him, things like the reality and depth of Xander and Robin's friendship and the way the slayers ribbed them about it.
What can I say, this is a great story and I can't wait to see how it ends and find out what will happen in the next one.

Thank you very much for the compliments. I'm glad you're liking the story so much. I was a bit nervous about Giles' jokes, truthfully, but I think it really adds a bit of depth to the situation at hand.
Robin and Xander's friendship... not gonna be pretty if/when Robin finds out about the night with Faith, will it?

Oy, I've been waiting for the Xander/Robin explosion for some time now 'cause things like that never, ever stay a secret. I'm already wincing in anticipation. That's gonna be painful for everyone involved, myself included.
