Of Those Chosen: The Twins - Chapter 17

Nov 21, 2004 22:57

Well, I thought this was going to take until at least tomorrow night -- but I got some serious good news tonight, and the good mood put me in the mood to write... Which, really, is interesting, as there is not a real wealth of good news that comes to light in this chapter. Oh, well. Such is life, no ( Read more... )

Poor, gullible Katherine. Xander to the rescue! Sharp wooden objects! Evil vampires! What more could we ask for? Oh, yeah. What happens next??
I can hardly wait.

Hee! This comment had me laughing out loud.

I'm really glad you liked this chapter. And of course you know what happens next, the be-all end-all that the whole story has set up: Faith and Xander finally come face-to-face with Cole and Donner.

And, as Illyria would put it, "They all wish to do violence."

Violence is good. Evil Vampires + brassed off slayers + violence= big pile o'dust. I hope....

I noticed the lack of Buffy too - where is she and why isn't she part of the action? Inquiring minds need to know. Hmmm.

Buffy's on patrol, and her patrol group is too far away to do anything. Same with Kennedy's group. That's who Giles is calling, and who he says is too far away.

Poor Katherine. I think the New Watchers' Council needs a therapist on the payroll.

Oh well...good part. Can't wait to see how you end it?

Heh. Yeah, a therapist would probably be a good idea, and not even just for evil twin sister vampires. Just having someone to keep them from getting a God complex or whatever it's called when soldiers come home from battle and can't readjust to civilian life... that would be a nice idea.

The Scoobies alone would be a therapist's dream.

Or nightmare -- can you imagine the sessions?

"...And then I saw a, uh, thing. And the thing and I had to do a, uh, thing... and, uh... Then the thing left. For good."

Good decision about Wes' dad.

Nice banter from Giles.

Nice moment between Robin & Xander. Boy, is Nottigham going to be pissed when the truth comes out.

Liked the moment where Faith got the Scyhte and Willow's concern for her creations.

Heh, Nottingham. Took me a bit to get that -- that's a family name for me (not mine, but close relatives). I thought you somehow knew who I was in real life or something, very confused. =)

I haven't talked to him in a little while, but Finn Mac Cool is the one who pointed out to me that the Scythe had just disappeared in my story... so I had to get it out there somehow.

Robin Wood - Robin Hood - Nottingham.

Just another trip through Faith's warped mind.

May I just say how happy I am that you're happy and that that same happiness has stirred up your creative juices? Cause this is one very fine chapter.

The action is great, the characterizations are spot on and everything is stressful and nervewracking in the very best of ways. As much as I love the big stuff, though, it's the little stuff that really endears this chapter (not to mention the whole freaking story) to me. Stuff like Giles's Monty Python reference and the way Katherine's letter effected him, things like the reality and depth of Xander and Robin's friendship and the way the slayers ribbed them about it.

What can I say, this is a great story and I can't wait to see how it ends and find out what will happen in the next one.

I'm happy that you're happy I'm happy. =)

Thank you very much for the compliments. I'm glad you're liking the story so much. I was a bit nervous about Giles' jokes, truthfully, but I think it really adds a bit of depth to the situation at hand.

Robin and Xander's friendship... not gonna be pretty if/when Robin finds out about the night with Faith, will it?

Yay! We're all happy!

Oy, I've been waiting for the Xander/Robin explosion for some time now 'cause things like that never, ever stay a secret. I'm already wincing in anticipation. That's gonna be painful for everyone involved, myself included.
