We have the cutest picture of my dad at the age of 7 in an "accordian band" - a whole bunch of scowling 7 and 8 year old boys in suits holding accordians.
I will be forever in awe of anyone with any sort of ear for music. *bows down before you*

Maybe it was, like, THE instrument to teach little kids back then?
Admittedly I think my father dropped it as soon as he could, gravitated to bass for a long time and is now completely obsessed with harmonicas. Even sleeps with one.
