[Sakura is reading a chapter from Naruto that is older than most others that has been shown. She has a few more recent volumes next to her, but the volume she's looking at is keeping her attention at the moment.]

[The last few pages of the chapter make her let out a small sigh]

Wow...that was a long time ago. My hair hasn't been that long in years.

Actually, at the beginning of our days at Team 7 I was the dead weight. On our very first mission all I could do was stand to the side and watch as Naruto and Sasuke almost died.

Even if I made you both stronger with giving you both someone to protect, I hated having to be protected all the time. That's what made me feel weak, that I couldn't do anything to help protect the two of you when I really needed to. It wasn't until the Forest of Death that I really realized it.

Yes...that's exactly why I got stronger. To protect you, Kakashi-sensei, Sasuke and all my precious people. [Here, have a blush on Sakura's face because of that comment] Thanks Naruto.
