[it's been almost a month since she left, and while she isn't coming back really soon -- she's still somewhere on the west coast -- she does want to go back. she misses him, and while she'll never be able to completely sit still, sitting somewhat still with him is okay

[he's just sitting around throwing toys for Suzie Q. to attack and drinking some coffee. He was supposed to have lunch with Frankie and Heather, but until then he's just chillin. And when his phone rings across the apartment it takes him a second to get to it, and he gulps.]

[It takes him a minute. Seeing her name, that she's actually finally calling scares him. He also has no idea what to say. He takes a deep breath and answers it]

[quietly] Hi.

[hitchhiker_girl]

Hi.

[there's a pause as she settles back in the couch a little more]

Is this a bad time?

[ramblinmann]

Uh..no. Not a bad time.

[goes back to the living room to sit]

[hitchhiker_girl]

Okay. Good.

[another pause, because she had a whole speech planned, sorta, and now she's not sure if that's how she wants it to go]

I'm sorry about just leaving like that. I should have handled that better but I just ... needed to get out for a while.
