I offered to write porn in celebration of aithine's birthday. One of the requests was from tinnny. She asked for dog tag porn. What she got was, um, dog tag porn, with a bit of angst. Seems I can't just write uncomplicated porn. *sigh

Gorgeous fic, this is probably one of the best angsty sex post SiegeIII fics i've read. Its sexy but very emotionally revealing and raw, and I loved how Rodney showed John how he would help carry the burden, Rodney wearing John's and Sumners dog tags to be is an image that will always stay with me:)

I agree totally. I think there is some confusion about the difference between "detached and distant" (which I totally think John is) and "shallow" (which he totally isn't).

Sadly, I believe the writers of the show, and the fanfic community, tend to believe that since John doesn't easily show his feelings (like Rodney seems to do), then he musn't have them. I think there was way more guilt there than the little bit we've been shown. Don't be surprised to see me go back to this well at some point.

I've been ghosting around the McShep board for awhile now, and this was great cause Rodney wasn't at all cowardly with intimacy [cause i never see him backing away from his true ideals] and John was poiently in denial, like he always seems to be [despite his best tries.]

I account any mispelling or unreasonable jargon to the hour and the beer.
