...well yeah. [He's actually surprised that's even a question.] I've known him for the last eight years of my life. Why?

He's not. Weasley is about the furthest from a friend I could ever have. I wouldn't worry about him. [If anything, Ron would probably be happy Draco moved on and away from his best mate(s).]

I like fish. I keep a few as pets here.

[This is not the equally lost girl he once knew; this is the grown woman, albeit young woman: nineteen.]

It's exciting to see the school starting again, even if I won't be attending classes any longer either.

But. They're fish. They don't exactly do anything.

It's interesting that it continues to be something stable. Professor Sage seems to have a good grasp on her material, at least.

They swim, and feed, and mate, and even fight if you aren't careful about which you put together in the tank.

My point is that there isn't much that makes them stand out overall. All animals feed and mate and fight, and a good portion of them swim.

Cats.

[To those who know him, this is pretty much expected.]

[Well that was easy.]

Why? You mean like common house cats?

Yes. They're cute, soft and very clever.

[Clearly, they are the best.]

Then you're in luck. There seems to be loads of them around the village suddenly. You're not one of the ones that adopted a kitten, are you?

[Everything in Draco's post goes over Grune's head, except for one part:]

Hello, Draco! I like all the animals.

[And yet another girl who makes him slam his head into the desk. Oh Grune.]

How can you just like all of them exactly the same?

Because they all have something that makes them special.

It's such a vague answer. [But it's one that's actually agreeable. It just happens to pop a hole in his theory.]

Though surely there's one you value more than the others.

You're inviting others to the house?

[Antisocial Eldarian is antisocial.]

It's my house too, you know.

Hm.

[You'd better not be planning any wild parties, pseudo-little brother.]

...Arumat, the house isn't going to be destroyed. Besides, only a few people will ever actually come into the house.

Though about that...you ought to know who those people are so you don't scare them off.
