over the weekend, we managed to hammer out the double-breasted jacket pattern for greymountain and astrael_nyx. only time will tell if the modifications to the stock pattern will do the job as well as we hope. i also began assembling greymountain's skirt, but ran into a stumbling block when it came time to attach the zipper...i couldn't find an appropriate zipper foot for use with ( Read more... )

after a hard day's work, greymountain, kayoko_chan and i have obtained kayoko_chan's wig, and a pleated skirt pattern for the longer skirts (though it may be usable for the shorter skirts as well), finished the collar alterations on kayoko_chan's shirt, and cut out the fabric for greymountain's skirt.

• i currently have 40 yards of blue fabric sitting in my room downtown. work can begin immediately on costuming for the kujibiki cosplay
• i've also a baseball helmet, and some vinyl gutter guard that can be chopped and fused to make kayoko_chan's helmet

okay...i'll admit that if i had $20 million to blow, i'd be up there doing the same thing. actually, i'd probably go one step further, and have a custom space suit made up in the shape of a gundam, and have someone take a picture of me while out on a spacewalk. that would kick ass.
