As a few people may know, and many more probably don't, a group of roleplaying friends I've known for over 10 years has talked me back into the addiction I left behind 3 years ago ( Read more... )

This comment looks so familiar. Didn't you say something similar when I got Guitar Hero?

You'll still see me in the morning... occasionally at dinner... and once our TV shows are on. And given my attention span, I think I'll probably be bored of it again by this time next year. :P

It's freakin gorgeous and I can't get enough of those tarus and elvaans.. but... damn... such a time sink and elitist breeding ground.

I've got a group that is pretty good about not being elitist, they're even encouraging me to go BLU/RDM.

well... it's been nice knowing you.... i always had a feeling this day would come.... i just didn't realize it would be because of a MMORPG....

heh... and to think i have a WoW account that hasn't been touched in a few weeks and i have more free time than you... what the hell is wrong with me?

I won't be too far gone.

I'm thinking about starting a bi-weekly Wii night... Some excuse to have people over and spend a few bucks on Chips & Dip rather than a lot of money on going out to dinner and then a bar or a show or something.

Well, at least I assume it's going well so far, though i still hold you should check out WoW and/or Vanguard

WoW is an option if FFXI bores me too much but I still want to play an MMO.

As of right now, though, I'm not 100% sure my computer would handle Vanguard (though it should)... Plus with how badly Sony screwed up SWG, I'm not sure I want to invest time in an MMO that they'll just go in and screw up later.

Understaqndable issue with Vanguard. Like I said the other day, you need one hell of a system to run it, but even with the majority of the graphics down, it is still beautiful. As to the issues with SWG, Vanguard was made by the guys that Sony fired because they were trying to be too creative and do too much with SWG.

And what keeps Sony from re-firing the team from Vanguard from being too creative with it? It's still a Sony product. ;P
