The downfall of Hiro's Social Life.
As a few people may know, and many more probably don't, a group of roleplaying friends I've known for over 10 years has talked me back into the addiction I left behind 3 years ago...
Tonight I sign up for a new Final Fantasy Online account.
It sounds like there is more opportunity with the newer patches to do the types of things that I wanted to the first time around. Plus, it's an excuse to not go out as often. The $13 a month is a lot cheaper than going to the bar and not drinking on the weekends. And if I can maintain some self-control, I can even use it as a carrot to dangle on the other side of my homework.
There are a few downsides to this, though. One is that I'll be ignoring my poor DrD2Be more, though she should be studying anyway. Another is that I have so many friends that I don't spend the kind of time with that I want to.... (Ze Spic, Twitch, A.D.A.M., x, my bandmates, The Order, various people I've met through Ze Spic that I'd like to know better, etc... That's not even counting DrD2Be and I's common friends.) Now I'm specifically giving myself an excuse to not go out and spend time with these people.
