(And then somewhat less fun with computers. They'll be lovely when they're finished)

Flexifoil + SE cameraphone. As one might guess it was in flight-mode.

Probably about half a kilo. Yer average Flexi will pull like a bastard in a good wind, but launching the thing (and keeping it in the air during) might be an entertainment. Really, I've got no idea, and one can only find out by trying it.

I believe a pillbox of some flavour. There are remains of another downslope, though that might have been a reservoir for the nearby cottages.

It was a lot less of a ruin when I/we first encountered the thing.

Nice. Got me looking at the Flexi website again, just when I'd thought I'd managed to wean myself off it.

They're top fun, so long as you avoid all that jazz-shorted extreme powerkite malarkey.

Mine (a solid black 10', which I'm not sure was ever an official product. God I'm just so fucking uber.) cost £100 more or less twenty years ago. It's done rather well.

Where was that shot?

How about coming up here to visit sometime? There's great kite flying on Selsley Common :) Just have to watch you don't take out paragliders if they're out!
