old Mystery!clothes in attic - identify if you can! Victorian/Edwardian maybe I don't knooooow

These are some clothes from a great-grandparent who saved them from some predecessor. I apologise for the bad quality; mediochre camera + nighttime + low lighting = bad pictures. But I took a bunch and tried to get some little details - like the thread loops (for hooks) on the back of the collar, and what appears to be a little pocket inside the ( Read more... )

Cool! Although now that I've seen that attic, nothing that turns up in it will ever surprise me. ;)

I'm really bad at dating clothes, but that first one I'd put at the of the 1900s into the teens (1908-1912 maybe??) because of the closures, the collar, and the length of the waist. Less sure about the second one - and I admit that last thing is just totally mysterious!

My corseted waist runs around 24-25" (25" in the 1911 corset), just FYI. If you don't find any better match! :D

Alright, I guess we have to coordinate with Robin and have a trying-on/photo session. Do you have a skirt that you could wear with the bodice? As far as I can tell the skirt would only come anywhere near the floor if someone who was 4'10" or shorter wore it.

I have a petticoat that I still need to put a waistband on! Besides that...umm, I'll have to think.
