Well, it's been quite a while since I last wrote in here. The thesis continues to progress slowly; three chapters are now done, and four remain to be written. Well, life continues to be busy, but at least some things are coming together. I think I will almost certainly be able to graduate on time, which is great. I'm basically doing an independent study in Italian to finish off my language requirement, and I will be eternally grateful to Prof. Lansing for putting this together for me. Break was...interesting. It was almost entirely consumed by the horror of grad. school applications and the writing of thesis chapter #1. All that was a nightmare. I did get the occasional break from all the pressure, though. Christmas was very, very disappointing, as we had a tree, but nothing at all underneath it. Quite depressing, really. ( Read more... )

The end of the semester is looming, and with it, finals and term papers and grad. school applications and a thesis chapter! BUT, I get to go home next Friday, which makes it all bearable. So, Thanksgiving break was lovely. I took my Forensics exam last Tuesday morning, then went into Boston and caught a bus to Hartford, where Tucker picked me up. Well, I'm being forced to have another productive weekend. I've got a Forensics exam on Tuesday, and much thesis research to get done, so that should occupy me until I leave town on Tuesday. Well, it was another lovely weekend. I finished up the press release for the Rose on Friday afternoon, which was such a relief.
