Do you have an alarm system in the house? That's what happens to ours when the power goes out. We have to reset the system in the main panel and the beeping stops. It's really annoying when the power goes out in the middle of the night!

I'm not sure, the landlord is taking a road trip right now. What should I look for when looking for the main panel?

If you have an alarm, it should have a maker on it and you can call the company and they'll give you directions.

Could it be a place where the doorbell sound comes from? We had something similar after the rain, and got rid of the sound by just ringing a doorbell properly :)

If you have an attic might be worth going up there to see if there is a fire alarm, could just be a dying battery

It looks like a hard wired smoke alarm. If you can get in touch with your landlord, they should be able to tell you how to reset it. Barring that, the non-emergency number for your local fire department should get you someone who can tell you how to fix it.

This. Your fire dept will be happy to help you. They want your alarm to work! You have my sympathy; I know how frustrating that sound is!
