My mom used to do it to make breakfast sandwiches for me and my sister when we were kids, but she had a special microwave egg poacher. When I found out yesterday (thanks to the people in this comm) that I could use any old dish to do it, I was over the moon!

I'm always on the look out for a dish that's exactly english muffin sized so I can do this without the egg hanging off the sides :)

Yeah, I don't like microwaved scrambled eggs either... They're kind of spongy.
