That was lovely. :D You have a fabulous way with imagery that just pulls you in. I love that the ending's not perfect, that they both are who they are, but are willing to give it another try, anyway.

That was lovely. I loved how Merlin didn't let him come right back and that they had to work on what was going on between them. Well done.

Woaw, this is beautiful! I love the way you've written this, the rythm, the subtlety, and the way you trust the reader enough to understand everything that's going on without setting all the details (and the setting doesn't really matter anyway, this could be happening anytime, anywhere)
It's really lovely, bravo for this piece of art!

I just read this over at the kink_meme and I had to come and tell you how amazing, realistic, and mature this narrative of infidelity, love, and getting back together is. Your writing is nuanced and intense. The fragmentary style works perfectly when you get glimpses of their feelings and interactions that are so layered and complex. I also love the fact that you made the getting back together such a fragile, tenuous thing based on faith, because honestly, how do you forgive someone who walked out on you especially when monogamy was the implied foundation?! Also, Gwen was pretty damn amazing. I am so glad you did not go the misogynist 'other woman' route, because it's so easy to do in this genre ( ... )

I agree that this is amazingly written! I fail to see how amazing Gwen is. Please dont get me wrong I dont intend to bash her or anything. I just wonder how amazing she is from your pov, because I have a hard time to understand the characters of Arthur and Gwen here.

Anon, if you want to discuss the characterisations or the fic as a whole with me, you're more than welcome to do so here, but please don't start a discussion between commenters in this post. This is not the place for that.

Long comment was also sort of lovely to read!

Yeah, that's my absolute least favourite part of fandom; the fact that where there's slash there is also often blatant misogyny and hate for any woman who dares show her face. (There's a reason one of my interests is 'all the fictional women you hate'. ;) I'm glad that you liked this Gwen because I am a massive Gwen fan.

I was getting a bit tired of reading Merlin forgiving Arthur everything and anything, because I really don't see Merlin being so abjectly in love with anyone, really.
Nor do I. I also think that Merlin is the least forgiving to the people who are closest to him, the ones he trusts implicitly.

Thanks very much!
