Ooh this was just excellent. I feel bad for both of them, but I love that Merlin was cautious and really did make Arthur work to get their relationship back. Merlin is always very forgiving of Arthur's behavior that I'm glad he's not, for once.

I also love your style here; intense and I could very much feel the longing on Arthur's part. Thank you!!

wow....well, this hurts*wry smile* I liked it all; from the way you didn't cave and wrote melodramatics, to how everyone was so human. but I also have to admit that your Merlin is definitely a much bigger person than me:P to take Arthur back after cheating on him with a mutual friend of theirs......well, lets just say a big whopping NO would be my answer*g* but you managed to make it so very real...damn you, I like staying bitter and unforgiving:P
I even liked your Gwen, how she refused to consider any of it a mistake.....staying true to yourself is always hard even if you're a bit of a cheating ass:P

hi there, found this first at kink_me and have not really read this longer version yet, but i just have to let you know first that i love this fic! being a merlin girl (aren't we all are?), i am sometimes not as easily forgiving when arthur messes things up in 'cheating' fics, and a little bit appalled when merlin gives him an easy time. i guess it's not so much about making arthur grovel but more of making their relationship stronger and more real if arthur, or both, have to work for it and earn it

also, the way you wrote merlin's maturity, and later careful decision to try again, is something i've always wanted, and barely see, in merlin of fics..and yeah, of course i've always been one for happy endings, so it all works out for all of us :D

also, your writing style!~~ how you can put so much feelings and tell a whole lot more in so few words?

I've always thought that provided extreme circumstances Merlin could hold a grudge. I also think he's a lot stronger than people sometimes give him credit for being.
