This is fantastic. I really love every single bit of it. Taylor is wonderful, strong and sympathetic. And Chad is a tangle of emotion without ever being over the top or emo.

Thank you for sharing this! I enjoyed it so much!

I'm so glad that you liked Taylor in this, because I really like her and didn't want to ignore the part she plays in Chad's life. (Too many female characters are ignored/hated/seen as obstacles in slash as it is and a lot of the time it's rife with misogyny and that's aggravating. That's an entirely different discussion, though, and doesn't apply to the HSM slash that I've seen/read.)

The fact that writers in this fandom (or at least the corner of it in which I live) mostly treat the female characters with affection and respect is one of my favorite things about it. *hugs fandom*

Exactly. Which is why I plan to stay in this very corner.

Also, I realise now that my last comment made me sound... underwhelmed. I was really sort of incredibly flattered, so thanks again!

I like your use of introspection, seeing everything and nothing at the same time. The emotions are all very real. I can totally see this happening. :)

Also, the last line is brilliant.

This really touches on the process of finding yourself and learning to be true to that discovery even if it scares you. Nice job with making the characters real and completely in character.

I'm glad they came across as in character, because this is the first thing I've written for HSM. Thanks!
