I should have figured out the pitcher batting thing (I'm slightly tipsy, so that's my excuse), but I didn't think it would make that much of a difference, honestly.

It's almost like a trickle-down effect. One thing leads to another, and next thing you know, one league has better pitching than the other. I'd imagine if you looked at the top offensive categories (such as RBI, HRs, runs scored, etc.) that many of the leaders will be from the AL. Just a guess though.

Yeah, other than batting average, the top 5 are fairly AL-dominated.
