Pitching stats question
I know I've got at least 2 or 3 people on my friends list who know a thing or two about baseball, so figured I'd ask here.
I was just on MLB.com checking the individual statistic leaders, and the top 5 leaders in ERA are all NL pitchers. In fact, the leaders in all 3 big pitching stats (wins, Ks, and ERA) are all NL pitchers (with a couple exceptions). Is there any sort of reason that there'd be such a difference between the AL and NL in pitching, or is this all pure coincidence?
