Burglary

On Monday I left the house to take a friend to lunch on her birthday. When I returned home four hours later, the dogs were frantic. I went into the office to check email...and the computer wasn't there. The monitor was, and the external drive and other peripheries...but not the computer. Nor was the laptop where I'd left it in the living room ( Read more... )

Oh my goodness! Poor Hillevi - I can't begin to properly imagine how bad it must feel - but I really do feel for you - I'll be thinking about you, and I am so glad for you that at least the dogs, and some of your precious things, are still with you.

You know, Monday and Tuesday were grim, but the immediate outpourings of support...I'm not kidding: they keep cynicism at bay and provide such a great counterpoint to the nastiness. Life goes on. Frustrating and hurtful, but nothing lethal.

Oh no -- how horrible! (I haven't logged onto Facebook in more than a week, so I didn't know!)

I'm so sorry, especially about Emma. *hugs*

Thanks dear. You know Em, there was no way she'd do the sensible thing and hide. I wonder how much the high pitched yapping contributed to the burglars getting out in a hurry?

Hell's bells, babe. I've got Bertha in one hand and am frantically petting the puppies with the other. Poor you and poor Emma and Cici. Those sub-human sacks of shit are just boils on the butt of humanity. I hope a plague of frogs comes and pees on their heads.

Big hugs to you, my darling.

Thank you my dear. I made the police officer laugh, because I kept going to make sure that various books hadn't been stolen. My OED! My Grabiens! My Ferrers! He finally had to point out to me that my preciouses were probably all going to be fine, because they have too little cash value to warrant their weight.

Oh, honey. This is the first I've heard. I'm so very, very sorry. The violation, and the fear, and the anger, and the loss, and your poor dog, and your poor *you*. I'm so sorry.

I'm so sorry your sense of safety has been so violated and someone was so mean to your dog.

May your burglar's penis shrivel to the size of an acorn and then be stolen by a squirrel.
