Oh fabulous. He would have to walk in at that moment. She would have scowled had she not been so pleased to see him. So instead of scowling, she smiled at him. "Well, I don't see any lying around here," she said, lazily gesturing about the room as she spoke. "And from the looks of things I'd say it's not been cleaned in a good few centuries." Had she seen herself as she spoke, she would have taken herself by the shoulders and instructed herself very firmly to calm down. Her eyes were practically twinkling, for Merlin's sake, and that definitely didn't play part of her mother's well taught hard-to-get routine. But then again, Emilia hadn't been sticking particularly closely to that recently

((It's very scary, but don't worry - I'm sure it'll happen to you too. And I'd take scary Emilia over scary Keary any day of the week!))

Her excuse? Emilia reached one hand up to twirl her hair as she answered, hoping to appear delightfully casual. She glanced away from him and bit her lip before looking back at him from under her lashes. It was a routine most would have found dreadfully corny, but one she was clearly quite fond of.

"Oh, you know," she said airily, with the tiniest hint of a shrug. "Attractive Ravenclaw, empty room. The usual." She paused before adding with - yes - another smirk, "Though, naturally, the dust was the clincher."

A corner of his lips lifted with a smile as he slipped an arm around her shoulder and started to lead her towards a door. "We could find somewhere else, y'know. This isn't the most.. endearing of places. Though the dust has it's charm."

He paused at the door, however, not wanting to lead her out if she really just wanted to remain hidden and unseen with him. The fact that they were all alone was appealing, afterall.
