Erik hadn't realised his face resembled something out of a muggle zombie film, though he was quite acquainted with them. He'd been through several near death experiences, but none had actually made him feel this nauseous. The faces that approached, or rather... the masks, were the same that had taken the life of his only sibling - his muggle brother, Nikolaus. The bloke wasn't even a threat, he was just a journalist in the wrong place at the wrong time. Oy, sick. Erik felt absolutely sick.

Erik turned as he heard the compass shatter on the floor, mouth open in awe as Troy wriggled his way into a corner. Well, apparently he wasn't going to get much help. WHY IN BLOODY HELL HAD DARIN LEFT HIM!? Erik was going to have a word with Merry about this, if... he didn't... die first, oh... bugger.

"STUPEFY!" Erik shouted as the first Death Eater entered the shoppe, hand shaking so that his spell missed. Eh, perhaps he should have paid more attention to that whole... aim meeting when he had the chance.

Troy stayed in the corner, actually dropping his wand, chest heaving and heart palpitating in his chest. He closed his eyes and picked it up, shakingly, grabbing onto the wall to help himself up.

Though hearing the Stupefy and seeing the first Death Eater, his legs gave way again, and he scrambled over behind an aisle of cauldrons, hoping to be hidden out of sight.

He bit his lip, only wishing the fifth year knew how much he wanted to help. But Troy was good at only a few things. Fighting with magic was NOT one of them. He prayed to God or Merlin or Bacon or Beckham as Noah had instructed, anything to help him through this, eyes frozen in fear on the dark hoods and masks.

Erik didn't blame Troy for being scared out of his mind, immobilized by fear even. He might have escaped death in several instances before, but it didn't make it any easier to see hooded, masked figures bursting through the door. In fact, it was much much worse... knowing what they were capable of and having been through it twice before. And how in the bloody hell was he supposed to take on more than one adult Death Eater? He was bloody doomed, that's what he was.

But something in his gut told him to fight, possibly... Gregorious was whispering in his ear to be a lion and go down swinging. Even if Darin had stayed, it probably wouldn't have done much good. They'd knock one or two out and then die fighting the rest. Meaning... er... the last three, as there appeared to be about five and... ah.

He at least wanted to save Troy Frogley. Erik had been dreaming about saving someone after he'd not been able to save his brother. So he wasn't even in the same town as his brother at the time, he was magical and his brother wasn't and he ( ... )
