Dorian ground his teeth together, the only outward sign of his annoyance- and worry. Rae was probably right, it was just a potion some students gave her as a joke. He couldn’t help but fear, though, that it was something much more dangerous.

Once he closed the doors to the Great Hall behind him, Dorian wrapped his arm around Adriana’s waist, strong enough to hold her up and keep her against him, but perhaps a bit gentle. He couldn’t deny that he was worried about her.

“Adriana,” he said, starting to walk forward, pulling her along with him. His voice possessed a softness that sounded strange even to him. “There’s obviously something wrong. You wouldn’t be screaming your head off in the Great Hall under any circumstances. It’s imperative you get looked over.”

Adriana may have noticed the difference in his voice if she wasn't so... err, out of her mind at present.

"I was not screaming my head off," she shot back, appalled by the way that sounded, walking along with Dorian without much thought and making motions with the arm on the opposite side he was standing on. It was a good thing he was holding onto her, or else she'd probably have run into something by now. "I was simply making a point that otherwise would not have been heard if everyone wasn't being so ruddy loud!" Her hand went up into the air then, index finding pointing to the sky as if she just made some brilliant speech.

"So, because I speak my mind about someone who'd be better fitting in bloody Hufflepuff, there has to be something wrong!?" Adriana questioned, hand going atop Dorian's hand on her waist and attempting to push his hold off but really only succeeding in turning slightly. Her expression turning to a slight glare, she looked up at him with her eyes narrowed. "Oh, yes, God forbid I make a contradictory statement ( ... )

Dorian bit back a comment about how SHE was the loudest on in the castle at the moment, figuring that wouldn’t really be wise considering her…condition.

Dorian just pulled Adriana closer when she tried to pull away, not exactly trusting her to wander without guidance. If she thought it was more comfortable to walk with her stomach pressed against his hip, who was he to complain? At least Adriana hadn’t fallen on her face yet, or something equally embarrassing.

He didn’t know what to say to get her to shut up, either. Snogging her speechless was a possibility, which Dorian figured was quite possible- if she hadn’t been poisoned. Instead he let out a frustrated groan and hitched her against him further.

“Adriana,” Dorian repeated firmly. He figured using her first name was better in such a situation, more personal and not so professional. Again, she was poisoned! “What can I possibly do to make you be quiet until we get to the hospital wing? You’re going either way, even if I have to pitch you over my shoulder and put a silencing ( ... )

Adriana rolled her eyes and glanced off at random portraits as she walked with Dorian, not paying enough attention before and now having absolutely no clue as to where they were. All the stupid paintings looked the same, just more old wizards sleeping or snoring.

Nevertheless, Adriana did not want to go to the hospital wing! It was nonsense as she was perfectly fine and if she was being so rude or loud then Dorian should just give her detention and be done with it! Or just snog her, either one would be suffice, really.

"HA!" she countered with a loud scoff, although smirking from that ass comment. "Don't you threaten me, Mr. Grace! If you make me angry enough, I won't snog you anymore and THAT would be a pity as you won't find any other girl in this castle who's as good at snogging as I am."

Adriana's mind may have been affected by the poison, but her ego definitely wasn't.

Dorian was a fantastic bloke like that. Caring and concerned, everything a proper auror should be.

HA. He was just selfish, really. He wanted to keep Adriana around for himself, that was about it.

“I’d make sure the pain far outweighed the pleasure,” Dorian spat, wondering if it would be terrible to use a spell on a student. Just a silencing charm! And maybe a levitation charm? No, Imperio, that would be much more fun. He’d use it for good, really! Dorian thought Adriana’s health and his sanity were two very good reasons to use an Unforgivable on her.

Well it was a very good thing she didn't hear Dorian's thoughts on wanting to use an Unforgivable Curse on her! She'd probably try and slap him... although probably not get very far, having more of a chance of falling over again then actually hitting him.

"Oh, you--," Adriana growled, narrowing her eyes and trying to think of something mean to say but unable to actually think of an insult. Dammit. "Why are you even still here then!?" Pushing away from Dorian again in a huff, she lifted one hand to her forehead as it was still throbing and seemingly getting worse as they continued to walk.

"Just... go away since you don't care," she groaned in an almost breathless voice, keeping her hand over her forehead. Adriana took a shaky step back and planned on just walking away but didn't get very far; instead, she winced and just collapsed where she was, completely blacking out this time ( ... )
