Seventh Years (Combined Class)finnian_murphySeptember 3 2006, 16:52:49 UTC
((Finny will be part of the posting order until I take him out. Sooo... have your students come in, take a seat, and be prepared to have Prof. Murphy explain what the lesson is!))
Finnian expected his seventh years to be extremely appreciative of this week's lesson. Not only were they able to be warmed up in this, the beginning of a very cold winter, but they also got to see their classmates in a whole new light. He knew that sort of idea would appeal to them. Watching the reactions those around them had to different plant fumes. Ah, but then others would be more excited about the fact that they were setting things on fire...

Setting things on fire?
Sounded like a Sean Brightwell sort of lesson!
Er, not that he really, really liked fire or anything... But if there was anyway to make him actually interested in a Herbology lesson? Fire would do it. Of course, he had no idea of the exciting fire prospects that awaited him as he burst into the greenhouse in his usual giant, exuberant, slightly-obnoxious-sorry-about-that way.
"Hello Professor Murphy!" he shouted cheerfully, whipping off his hat and waving at the professor. Merlin but it was warm in the bleedin' greenhouse, weren't it?

And on the other hand, Cassidy was not that big of a fan of fire. There was that one time the other week when she had almost set the Common Room on fire practicing her charms - that had not been a wonderful experience.
Cassidy carried her rather heavy bookbag in the greenhouse, looking about to see that she was the second person in the room. "Hi, Sean. Professor," she said, setting her bag down. "What're we doing today?" she asked, a bit nervously. The other week's rather dangerous-looking plant had been all right, but Cassidy still prefered a bit more um... safe lesson.

"Hullo there, Sean! Ye certainly look ready t'learn, ye mus' not be feelin' well," Finnian joked as Sean came bounding into the greenhouses. While Sean wasn't one of his best Herbology students, he was one of Finny's favourites, which was saying something as Finny liked all his students. To be picked as a favourite meant you showed something extraordinary, and for Sean it was his cheery attitude about everything
