Erik Cohen was in favour of animals, really. It wasn't that he disliked any sort of fuzzy, loveable creature. Pirkko was the perfect example! He'd become extremely fond of his owl, visited her in the owlery all the time. It was simply that he was not used to felines. How could he be so sure he wouldn't be terrible at playing with it? It would be horrible to discover that his girlfriend's kitten hated him!
He peeked his head into the door of the Arithmancy classroom and smiled as he watched Juhi go chasing after the stripped kitten. It certainly seemed adorable, though he wouldn't say so. Had to keep up his manly repuatation... or build one, as it were.
"Ninju," Erik said as a greeting, just letting her hear his voice and be aware that he'd arrived.
He walked in hesitantly and stared at the kitten a bit awkwardly at first, eyebrow raised and all, before sitting down on the floor and brushing off his blue jeans as if that would prepare him for something.
"Bertie Bean!" he said a bit more excitedly than he'd expected and grinned.
"Hi Erik!" Juhi looked away from her kitten long enough to grin at him. When she returned her focus to him, though, Bean had stopped running to sit and look at the newcomer. Juhi squealed and leaned to the side, throwing herself off balance to avoid stepping on him, as she had too much momentum to stop
