Oh, how that disgusting little man threw a fit the second she walked in the door. Filch apparently didn't like the idea of the new professor strolling in as if she owned the place, flanked by a pathetic looking house elf that was not in any way part of the Hogwarts staff. But the second she had ever-so-gently placed her hand against his cheek, speaking in soft words and smiling at him just so, she knew he was bound to give in. 'It's my personal house elf, love,' she had said to him quietly, pausing to bite her bottom lip. 'I had hoped you wouldn't mind. She only came to assist with my baggage, you see.. I have so much, and I am just so.. so incredibly weak, really. I could have never carried it all in myself! I promise, she'll be floo'ed back home the second we get my things to my quarters.' Of course, he didn't seem so happy to fold so easily, and there was a chance that he only said yes out of knowing then that she was the type that wouldn't take no for an answer, but regardless.. Genevieve O'Dwyer got her way.

There was just something about her. Regardless of the situation, she wore a constant smile. It would turn smart when she needed it to, gentle and caring, amused, or even the tight-lipped smile of an irritated woman.. but it never went away. She was also the sort that dressed in her finest wizards robes at all times, including a tartan-coated witches hat.

"Very good," she murmured as she left her quarters. Her gaze flickered left and right, looking for anyone in the corridors. Empty - excellent. It was almost time for lunch, so she'd likely have the privacy of a quiet walk to the Great Hall. Sure, there were bound to be some meandering about, but not so many that she'd feel the need to 'ease' someone out of her way.
