Jackie gave a huge sigh as she dumped her bag on the floor and fell to one of the couches in the common room. Defense class was interesting, and though it provided a two-hour distraction, it wasn't long enough to keep her mind occupied. And when her mind wasn't distracted with classes, or quidditch, or her friends, it started to wander back to the events that happened yesterday. No, Jackie Zhang was not one to cry -- she hadn't cried since Charlie's brother, Deryck, was killed over the past summer. But she felt bad... the first time she ever felt this way, and she just wanted the feeling to go away.
