If CBT isn't working for you, see if you can try DBT / Mindfulness therapy. Marsha Linehan is a leading psychologist in the field and has done some excellent work... very validating and very effective. It requires hard and dedicated work like CBT, but employs some different techniques so it works for a lot of people who don't favor CBT.
