I just finished watching The Hurt Locker. They say it's a near-perfect movie, and I'd have to agree to that with a resounding FUCK YEAH! Because OMG!!!!!!! I laughed, I cried (I NEVER cry during war movies), I fucking flailed through the whole thing! AND it's directed by a woman! *fist pump*

OH EMM GEE! I keep hearing rave reviews about this movie! I really need to see it now, you've sold me on it for sure, I'm gonna add it to my rentals list! Thanks! Btw, we need more ace films directed by women! That kicks arse!

I bet my brother's seen this one, he's such a war movie buff.

I actually haven't heard anyone talk about this movie. I hear people mention it in passing, but never any details on it. So I really wasn't sure what to expect. I just remember seeing the preview for it the first time and thinking "I have to see that!"

There really does need to be more good movies directed by women. There's Lost in Translation, which I love, but Sophia Coppola doesn't exactly blow me away. And isn't The Holiday and It's Complicated directed by the same woman? The Holiday is okay, but I honestly don't know that I would be able to tolerate it if it weren't for Kate Winslet. And I haven't seen It's Complicated, but I imagine it's pretty much along the same lines as The Holiday. Not exactly my kind of movie ( ... )
